Uya tidzokere kumusha (come let’s go home)
The ant-lion is the predatory larval stage of a large family of insects common around the world. They set little funnel-shaped pits of loose soil to capture and trap wandering ants.
You may have seen these little pits dotted across the landscape and I always imagine some mythical, cosmological level "life-lion" that comes for us all when it is time to cross the threshold to the other side. A companion to guide us through the uncertainty of what lives beyond death.

Vavete muchuru (those asleep with the termites)
I enjoy the sense of community that is possible when termites settle on a burial site. I find it comforting that the dead contribute to other living creatures in their passage and perhaps a grave isn't such a lonely place after all.
And how transcendental it must be to take flight with the once-terrestrial and now airborne termites as they go off in search of new land, new community and perhaps you to the astral.

Doondari
Before everything, there was only milk. Doondari came from the beyond to earth & created Stone. Stone created Iron, which created Fire, which created Water, which finally created Air.
Doondari descended a second time & crafted the first Ancestor from these elements & when this Ancestor became proud & Doondari created Blindness to humble them. Blindness became too proud, & Doondari created Sleep. When Sleep became too proud, Doondari created Worry and Worry was conquered through Death.
Finally Doondari descended one last time, as Gueno, the eternal one who lives beyond Death.
